Using hashtags and other search methods, people are able to find pertinent information about topics that others have found useful, interesting or even humorous.
Email spam is one of the topics I routinely follow on Twitter. It is interesting to see what others have to say about the topic, but it is also a good way to see what is the current trends are when it comes to spam.
Below, I have aggregated a collection of tweets sent out by the Twitter community that highlights the humourous side and the educational side of email spam.

It’s good users are twitting about spam – this shows not only spam is part of their lives but it also shows awareness about it and the desire to help their friends protect themselves against spam. For marketers, it’s the other way round – they advise their followers have to become trickier but this is hardly a surprise because marketers make money from emails. No matter if we like it or not, spam has become a part of our lives.
